To accelerate this journey even further, Elekta is now recruiting a Group Sustainability Manager to join our Group Strategy team. The position is located at Elekta’s head office in central Stockholm and will report to VP, Group Strategy & Sustainability.

What You’ll Do At Elekta

The Group Strategy team is at the core of Elekta’s daily performance pulse-beat but also in the driving seat of setting the strategic course forward. As a Group Sustainability Manager, you will have a central role in driving and shaping Elekta’s sustainability agenda and progress. You will support senior management and the business with insight, methodology and frameworks that elevate the speed and quality of which Elekta is able to deliver on its sustainability ambition. You will have a holistic coordinating responsibility for Elekta’s entire sustainability agenda (ESG) but will focus more on the Environmental and Societal aspects in its daily operations. Tasks and assignments will shift in an agile way but will be centered around;

  • Lead the work of continuously developing Elekta’s global sustainability strategy and support the business in operationalizing it in their business unit strategies and plans
  • Develop, coordinate and track environmental and social sustainability activities in accordance with the global strategy and international standards (e.g. science-based targets, carbon disclosure projects, task force on climate related financial disclosures)
  • Continuous monitoring of trends, policies and upcoming standards and legislations with respect to environmental and social sustainability. Assess which international standards Elekta should deploy and ensure adoption
  • Represent Elekta in external sustainability initiatives and forums
  • Coordinate the annual sustainability and GRI report in collaboration with Investor Relations and other relevant functions.

The right stuff

To be a suitable candidate for this position we see that you have thorough experience from working with sustainability related topics and the deployment of related global standards. To fit with the role, we believe you have;


  • University degree, minimum of Master’s in Business, Engineering, Law. Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in relevant areas
  • Previous experience of developing and driving sustainability-related strategy and change in manufacturing organizations
  • Good knowledge and understanding of international frameworks and sustainability standards (e.g Eu taxonomy, TCFD) and experience with external sustainability reporting (e.g. GRI, CDP)
  • Strong in analysis and strategy development. Skilled problem solver, strong in structuring issues and performing quantitative and qualitative analysis. Experience within management consulting is preferable but no requirement
  • Conceptually strong with strong executional and result-driven 
  • capabilities.
  • Strong, collaborative individual with proven track record of managing and drive projects in cross-functional teams and acting within executive level
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to document, visualize and convey messages in an impactful way to a senior audience
  • High standards of interpersonal skills, based on a strong ethical standard, values and good judgement
