About The Banking Relations Team at Trustly:

The Banking Relations team is a tight-knit and professional group of 6 people, based in Stockholm. Together they work to grow Trustly into a trusted and treasured brand in the payments industry. The mission in the banking relations team is continuing to build and develop strong relationships with banks globally.

 

About The Role

Banking Relations are responsible for all relationships that Trustly has with banks globally, as well as to initiate new relationships and further expand existing ones. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder who will be able to take ownership of some of the bank relations, brief new banks about Trustly, arrange and lead telephone conferences with external stakeholders to discuss relevant topics, respond to queries from banks;  coordinate and respond to KYC requests. As well as travelling to bank meetings globally and representing Trustly at various bank related events.

In addition to interacting within the Finance team, the role will require successfully working together with other departments such as the Product, Compliance, AML and Legal. You will report to the Head of Banking Relations.

  • Maintain and expand some of Trustly’s banking relationships globally and other PSPs (Payment Service Providers) as well as initiating new ones
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to improve current processes is key for this role
  • Responsible for the clearing and settlement mechanisms in Trustly’s role as customer to these organizations
  • Act as first point of contact for requests and questions from banks and other PSPs
  • Review and negotiate terms when Trustly purchases transaction banking services
  • Draft and edit letters, reports, memos, presentations and other communications, both internal and external
  • Facilitate the KYC processes
  • Travelling will occur in this position

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum seven years of work experience in a client focused role from a bank, payment institution or equivalent
  • A deep understanding of different products within cash management and transaction banking is a must      
  • You possess strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills with a high attention to detail
  • A team player with excellent time management skills and the ability to deal with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A quick learner who is comfortable independently taking ownership of and driving given tasks
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, any other additional language would be considered a plus
  • University degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar
